Analyst Eduardo Seda believes that yields should average in the 3%-6.5% range over the next few years for closed-end funds focused on MLPs. The average yield on MLP CEFs now is roughly 6.3%, he noted. His projection is that the group should produce annualized total returns — counting yield plus price appreciation — of 10% to 13% in the next five years.
