Kodak Still Sees Losses In Digital -Analyst

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Eastman Kodak Company executives said today they continue to see losses in their digital imaging
business in the near term, but they expect those losses to narrow over time, according to an analyst.

Kodak managers were speaking to Wall Street analysts and institutional investors at a meeting here Tuesday morning.

The analyst said that Kodak executives reiterated their committment to the digital photography business, and seemed upbeat
about the near-term future of the business.

The analyst, who declined to be indentified, said that his initial impression of changes announced by the company on Tuesday
were generally positive, and he expected the changes to ultimately be a boost.

Earlier, Kodak said it was cutting costs by at least $1 billion over the next two years, taking a fourth quarter pretax charge of at
least $1 billion, and was cutting 10,000 jobs worldwide. The company has about 94,000 employees.
