What's the difference between those two stories?

The lady in China is getting a year in prison with no proper defense, for merely PASSING ON A TWITTER MESSAGE.

The Indiana woman is SUING the police department for police brutality. And charges of obstructing justice, issued against her, were dropped.

Governmental abuse of authority is not uncommon in ANY society.

Which is why there is supposed to be a legal system that protects the individual from such abuses and provides recourse.

When I see that taking place in China, it will be a proud moment for the Chinese people.
