Although it sounds like something out of the personal column, it isn't. WDM stands for Wave Division Multiplexing, and DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexing). It's complicated, and I wouldn't want to quote what it means exactly without copying a definition that will explain it. It's basically a way to divide up the light spectrum to carry multiple datastreams in 1 fiber at multiple frequencies. Again, a cloudy, but basic definition. I will get back to you if I can find a better definition (my QWST perspectus might have one...), although I suspect that someone might chime in who has this kind of data right on their fingertips...<g>.
