The whole exercise is pointless when luggage, caterers, and ramp workers aren't checked. Very easy to get access to the ramp and airplanes at LAX by going through general aviation. The biggest threat is from planes flying into the country where other countries don't have the scanners and intimate pat downs.

There will be another attack, which will send our stupid government into a frenzy.

They troll the dregs to find these TSA workers. Non-exempts for the moment that will soon become unionized. They're creating another institution like the Energy Department that is worthless and impossible to get rid of.

My sister works in a building next to LAX that she says the TSA is taking over. They're trying to take over her company's space because it's on the first floor. Their lease is coming up and they know they're going to lose and it's going to cost them a lot to relocate - and nothing they can do about it.
