<why so tentative on the short>

At the moment, I'm not shorting anything. We are in a bull market that began in March 2009. QCOM has recently beat expectations and raised guidance. I'd like to see some evidence the bull market is getting tired, before I start shorting. And, I may decide to short some of the high-cost high-debt solar producers instead (LDK, CSIQ, SPWRA, STP). They will probably be better shorts than QCOM. I'd be more comfortable going long QCOM at $36 again, than shorting it at $48. But the chart says shorting QCOM at $48 has worked, for the last 10 years.
