gary, 'direction of volume' is as important as 'total volume'. these are two different measures. macd measures the regression from the mean of what volume there is. it does not distinguish on a volume differentiating basis - exponential macd makes an attempt at weighing volume differentiation but sometimes give poor readings relative to total volume. momentum would be a measure relative to total volume. momentum is fading for whatever reason - possibly the market is assuming the "announcement" was priced into IOM yesterday or last week, no one wants a tech stock these days, despite its prospects. we're looking at a market winter.
