Everywhere, the big shortage is in brain-power. I could use another 40 IQ points and not think I have a surplus.

Some genetic engineering and selection would be a good move. It is done now but using the eugenics process as currently conducted is very slow and approximate with huge waste. Women do their best to select good DNA for the next generation, but they could use some help such as getting better information from, for example, 23andMe and some gene splicing to take out the bung stuff and put in the good [or at least select the best of several zygotes].
