I believe that we are entering a phase where the men are separated from the boys. After that, the survivors will enter a more sedate phase of somewhat slower but more predictable growth rates. The gunslingers then move on to the next "fad" (maybe bio-tech stocks?)... Happens all the time. And everytime, people say, "But this time it's different" :-) Dipy.
