TJ, that "Hong Kong police raid the other government department" looks like dog eat dog culture of corruption, not checks and balances. The NZ culture of low corruption is better. Unfortunately, there has been a great decline in the quality of NZ government and public culture in recent decades. Corruption, bludging, and self-dealing are normal. Pansy Wong is the latest to put her hand in the till. Oh, that's right, she's an immigrant Chinese. What a non-surprise. If she had been sold a Tradable Citizenship instead of being given a free citizenship, she could now be handed back to her country of origin if they want her, or her body parts sold at auction, and her Tradable Citizenship confiscated as punishment. We have had judges, the auditor general, and everyone else these days committing such crimes. It's pathetic. Mqurice
