Phil Goldstein as well as Newgate and Herzfield have been successful in a few of their endeavors but find it difficult as so many of the fund holders are small individual investors that pay no attention to votes,etc chosing to let their brokerages cast their vote, etc. The only way to have even a tiny clue to fund activity of this sort is to lurk on the ICEFI board although the really serious discussions were taken to a private thread somewhere else last summer. It is to these players advantage to give let individual owners know what is going on. The ICEFI link is a few posts back.
