Do yourself a favorite and check out Celldex Therapeutics (Nasdaq: CLDX) before Monday morning's open. Note also that a heads-up conference call is scheduled pre-market open tomorrow morning. The below news was released yesterday (Saturday) morning following a late afternoon rally in the price prior to Friday's close. There is much speculation and discussion (virtually all positive) by pundits and various on-line advisories regarding the similarity of this company with DNDN. HOWEVER, DNDN already has an FDA approved product on the market for the treatment for prostate cancer. CLDX doesn't but has a promising pipeline in clinicals. The float for CLDX is small and the short interest is, relatively speaking, significant so we could see a short squeeze develop Monday. Btw, PFE dropped out of a collaborative project with CLDX several months ago and the CLDX's stock price dropped significantly. PFE isn't exactly well known for making wise decisions regarding acquisitions, partnerships, and collaborative research imo so I've discounted that. Recently CLDX's price has not only firmed up but started to rally...all before yesterday's news and the surge going into the close.
