Satan is real. He was created by God, in the first world age to protect the mercy seat (the trone of God). He was as a matter of fact the most beautiful of Gods's creations. You can read of all of his beginnings in Ezeliel 28..... He was named Lucifer.In the Hebrew it it translated,heylel, it means.. the morning star.
While in charge of keeping guard over the mercy seat, he decided that He wanted to be God. He and 1/3 of the angels rebelled against God. God, with Michael the Archangel fought back with his army, this is called in the greek the Katabole,or the overthrow of satan! And the world at that time was destroyed. And I don't have to tell you who won. satan was cast out of his position, and forever more stayed the enemey of God.
It was his pride that caused him to fall.Since his fall, his only mission in life is to deceive and taunt the children of God. But Jesus gave us power over him, Luke 10:19 and other scriptures also. So when we know our place in Jesus satan cannot have power over us.
satan is real, it is not just an evil force. Jesus Himself was tempted of satan, while in the desert. Matt.4, and every time my Lord was tempted of satan, He, my Lord, used the word of God to have victory over satan's evil ways.
He, satan, has many names. Lucifer (Isaiah 14:12), Tyrus(EZ.28:2),the serpent,the devil, The dragon and the devil (Rev.12:9) and the son of perdition 2 Thess 2:3.... Ez.28 explains why he is called the son of perdition.
So yes my Rich my good man, satan the devil, is very real, and his influence can be seen and felt in much of the world. On the other hand so can the influence of God. It is a matter of choice.
