Not if you factor in the couple of million claims the government would have to support for unemployed workers of a collapsed GM and its supply chain. Exaggerating again. As you seem to be compelled to do. Lying, actually. Had GM been allowed to proceed through bankruptcy like any other company there is every likelihood it would have have never missed a beat. And let's not forget there are thousands and thousands of employees who DID lose their jobs as a result of closing facilities that we now know (some of us knew at the time) need not have been closed as it didn't contribute to the company's problems having them open. As usual, the supporters of big government lie about the entire situation to bolster the cause. The simple truth is the Bush cash injections were totally adequate had a normal bankruptcy process been used. But Obama felt he had to prove himself by "managing" the situation.
