I'm been lurking for the last couple months. I bought this stock because I like internet stocks, and this one was cheap, had strong alliances, lots of good news, and very good growth prospects. As far as I'm concerned, all the previous still applies too. I'm not sure I completely understand the terms of this announced merger, but what I do know is that I'll be giving up 2 shares of INDV for 1 share of the NEWCO. I just went through, and am still going through, almost the same scenerio with LUNN. You can check out the thread for yourselves, but to summarize, the investors perceived the merger as a reverse split, and investors apparantly hate reverse splits, and the pre-merger price dropped. On the day of the merger, the brokers were slow in making the change, and still haven't gotten the new price to match with the new symbol in many cases. Finally, the post merger price has dropped. All this because of a simple stock for stock merger. I don't understand why INDV's price is dropping, but I don't think this merger is a good thing for us IMHO. I hope I'm wrong. |
