Had GM been allowed to proceed through bankruptcy like any other company there is every likelihood it would have have never missed a beat.

Of course you don't know this and are prey to your hatred of obama to make a completely spurious argument. If GM had failed, as many had predicted it would have, the consequences could have been enormous...the bailout was entirely prudent and, as it will turn out, it will cost little to nothing...just as TARP has. The politics of this unhinged right wing campaign is distasteful beyond description.
