His point was that a Chapter 11 doesn't send millions of claims to the unemployment office, as you asserted. That is a fact not based on fantasy.

The only reason Obama went outside the Constitution and bailed out GM was to save the union contracts from bankruptcy court jurisdiction. Like most companies, there was every indication that GM would have thrived under a Ch 11 bankruptcy reorg.
