I fear that we'll see the newly elected Tea Party members quickly fall prey to the ways of Washington. I was really disappointed in the silence from newly elected officials when the trial balloons were floated by the "Debt Commission". You would have thought that they would have jumped at the chance to show their eagerness to support one or more of the proposals that were advanced. What an opportunity for a new face to get press coverage. Nothing but crickets ....

Are they already afraid to take a position on the hard choices that inevitably need to be made? Do they already fear that any comment on delicate issues might jeopardize their re-election prospects .... this before even being sworn in?

Maybe politicians have made me too cynical but I'll need to see some pretty convincing behavior changes before I begin to give ANY politician the benefit of my doubt.
