Personally speaking, I would not want to live as a complete invalid. I would prefer to be euthanized. I imagine many invalids feel the same, assuming they can think at all.
For example, an incapacitated woman like Terri Schiavo should not have to die of thirst over a week or more! Mercifully and painfully euthanize people like her. God knows I would want to die mercifully if I were in her position, but not by dying of thirst!!!
