Corporate political donations can only go through PACs and are subject to all the rules of any other PAC.

What corporations don't have to disclose is how much they spend on their own political speech, and the source of the funds for that speech.

If they contribute to "congressman Smith" they are highly regulated, just as individuals are. If they want to produce their own ad, saying "congressman Smith is a great guy", or "candidate Jones (the imagined opponent), is dishonest", they are now free to do so, just as you are free to do so. To not allow them to do so goes against the 1st amendment, and compromises our freedom and democracy.
