I do understand, that if USA had not been involved in WW2, then you might count WW3 as WW2. However, to Europeans, WW2 was pretty big already before USA stepped in, so there is no doubt that we would have named it WW2, no matter what the outcome would be.
"I submit this is more a sign of the relatively low economic value of the information, when its competing against the same or similar information that is provided for free"
Value is in the eye of the beholder, but if you look at maximizing value in a society, there surely can be a huge difference between two products, that seem almost equally valued to the consumer. So, how can value differ, depending on who is looking? Because of the difference in information. It's all about information. Just ask a branding expert.
"...there is all sorts of advice out there, often wrong, and if not outright wrong..."
There are also all kinds of mouse accessories out there that is outright destructive and wrong, but the difference to advices are, that the mouse accessories are all treating the symptoms and not the cause, whereas much advice is actually preventive. Buying mouse accessories to fix mouse-related arm problems always reminds me of the movie "Idiocracy", where they put energy drink on crops. The more we get of that, the more the society will look like in the movie. The movie hero becomes president of USA by telling people to use water on the crops instead of energy drink. The value of that information is huge... ;-) |
