We are the government!

That's both false and irrelevant. False because while we vote for the federal governments, state governments, and local governments, but all those organizations are separate things from each of us.

Irrelevant because even if it was true it would not change the fact that the government is constitutionally limited, or support the idea that it shouldn't be.

And in a democracy we should have the ultimte power, not turtn it over to corporations and the rich.

"We" in this context, to the extent it has any meaning at all, includes the rich, and the owners, officers, and employees of corporations.

That constitution was written by people who owned slaves for gods sake.

Since some of them owned slaves we should abandon the rule of law and the protections of our constitution and just do whatever a bare majority wants us to do? A bizarre and potentially dangerous idea.
