Lets cross our fingers and hope both the mill and the Market give us a break. Other then what I've been told by the Repap top brass and the annual reports I know little of the New Brunswick operations. I do Know that our pulp mill here in B.C. is one of the province's top producers but that doesn't mean that its very competitive especially when compared to mills outside of this province. I think that untill there is a change of political parties here in B.C. the forest industry here is on pretty rocky ground. I just hope that there aren't too many casualties before things change.

Unlike others on this thread(Avenor thread actually) I was disappointed by the sale of Alcell. I guess deep down I knew it was never going to be our saviour (sp?), however, as Repap people we were told that some day this technology was going to bail us out big time. Therefore to get a drop in the bucket like 4 million dollars for it seems a little sad. Oh well I guess it was just another one of George Petty's pipe dreams.

Regard's, Brad
