John,
It may have come to the point, because of the great deal of confusing information and signals that are being generated by different segments of the business, where earnings need to speak louder than words. With INTC and the drive makers taking a beating and all of the concern about margins on the sub $1,000 PC's and their impact on CPQ's business it would take a genius to figure out what CPQ's profit picture will ultimately be. Just like with CSCO, it's my opinion that the uncertainty will have to disappear, with strongs earnings announcements, before a lot of investors will have the courage to jump in.

I believe a critical benchmark in the very near future will be Dell's earnings announcement and subsequent conference call. If all is well, I would not be surprised to see CPQ begin to move upward again. If Dell's earnings are a bust we'll go through some grief. -Keith-
