Actually some folks do move to all these states. How can one argue with that... The states you mention are low cost places to live. Ditto AL, NC, SC, FL, TX, - all the southern states. So what? What's the relevance of it to the in/out fed tax $$? And by the way, you don't know what's you're talking about. I lived in Fl for 18 years and I still have a place there, in NC for 6 years and I have a place in Al as well now. If you own a home in Fl I can guarantee to you that it's not cheap, unless you live in the swamp...nor is NC with it's high state tax, and in AL there is a 4%+ state tax that kicks in right away, plus the sales taxes are nothing to sneeze at (9.5% in B'am)... Al
