Linda: We could argue the differance between WinTel and Mac for years, and probably never agree. Computers are much like what Automobles were to people 30 years ago. MY Ford will beat your Cheve! etc..
For the average person, there is little differance between the two.
The OS is just something you pass though to get to the program you want to use.
For example, Photoshop is a program I use at work alot. It runs, acts, and looks the same on a Mac as a WinTel. Only real differance is that on a Wintel you have alt and ctrl keys and on a Mac its called option key and control key. The program otherwise is very much the same.
I know at least one company that did make a two and four processor Mac Clone. They are FAST!!!
But there are companies that make multi processor WinTels too!
Mac people will tell you Mac's crash less. Come by my work, they crash daily and with a big BANG. Many MAC people act like the computer is a god!
They Crash, burn,and fry just like PC do sometimes.

because of uncertainty about Apple but because Intel bribed them with big bucks." is just more of the same old sour grapes you hear from the Mac groupies.
Like APPLE has not given away hundreds of FREE computers to schools and/or given major price breaks!! Come on, I hear that MAC Hype all day at work from the Tech. people. All whom have hardly ever touched a PC and beleave everything they read in thier MAC Magazines.
I agree, back before windows, or even maybe windows 95, Mac were better. Today, for the average person, I do not see much differance.
Ok, here's to an Up APPL day for you, and a DOWN AAPL day for me tommorow.
