Did you see the post about SDRL at Big Dog's board? bloomberg.com As someone who has worked in the offshore oil industry for 25 years, the thing that jumped out at me were the figures on the sheer number of rigs being built over the next 2-3 years and the observation that ALL of them are supply driven orders not backed by any contracts vs. demand driven orders. Bodes well for the company I consult for now, but could lead to another deepwater OSX slump/bust in 2013... all things that have meant I just can't seem to pull the trigger on SDRL as a long-term divvy play in a sector that is super volatile and cyclical. Are you building a long term position in SDRL? Wondering what your take is on the situation. Jim
