Yes maybe there is a topsoil in the desert and no matter how many umpire samples are taken they just can't seem to guess the depth of the platinum. Of course IPM had opportunity to tell them, "look you are doing it wrong, take the sample a little deeper," but they let them find no platinum and THEN they tell them.

So how did the property owner tell that there was platinum and gold in the property? How did he know to negotiate the fantastic price two years ago? And if all these assay methods and recovery methods were not perfected and not developed at that time how did the company know to take this option? On what did they place their faith to commit these fantactic funds.. not nearly paid or even acquired to be paid by the company yet? If they could not prove it then and had to work two years on the problem what is their reason for continuance?

Is it not true that alien spirits landed in Roswell Georgia, walked to
Black Rock Arizona, hid out for thirty years, and then appeared to Furlong and told him, "You can't prove it yet or even detect it, but there IS a huge platinum deposit in these sands that is justified in spending 40 million dollars to prove." And since he was green, four feet tall and had large compound eyes he HAD to believe him. But of course he can't tell us how he KNOWS.
