Imo asking the species is a continuationof the cheap trick. By saying "not yet" I am saying that, once the embryo crosses the boundary of personhood, it will be a full human.

In re the "retarded" (not currently an approved term...) I do not see a way of defining one such as less-than-human without falling into the ethical pit that made the Nazis so icky. That's why not, speaking for myself.
