IDSA Sees Holiday Boom
The Interactive Digital Software Association is predicting a record-breaking holiday season for the computer and
videogame industry.

Noting that game sales through September were nearly $2.5 billion, and that traditionally 50% of all purchases are
made during the holiday season, the industry group believes the market will top $5 billion in sales this year.

The IDSA says that the fastest growing PC genres are trivia, strategy and sports. PC games have already racked up
nearly $1 billion in sales already. The IDSA says that 72% of those playing PC games are over 18, and 50% are over
36.
