I sure hope the oil and gas pipeline folks are reading this string- every station, pump, pig station and valve along millions and millions of feet are controled remotely via a bird in the sky- this is quite like the blood system for energy delivery and you might wonder how many y2k sinsitive embedded chips are out there on the lone prairie- "yippy ki yi yay what a mess this could be"-Satellites and remote locations responding should be a big red flag for Y2k -I started looking into this last week - other areas of concern are railroads and inventory reporting via satellite.
