Yes, a bunch of blue dog dems and the liberal dems split off our democratic party and took the blue dog dems on and went after LBJ tooth and nail and in the streets. "hey, hey LBJ how many kids did you kill today". Remember? LBJ made his famous announcment "he would not run, nor would he accept, the nomination for president of his party" days before he was about to lose the primary to Eugene Macarthy in either Wisconsen or Minn? But the Republicans/conservatives wanted to stay in vietnam and so we did even as the liberals across the country protested in the street day after day. Check your history. I was one of those in the streets.
