They would have to broker a shotgun marriage of Romney, an LDS guy to the evangelicals who don't see Mormons as "Christians." It hasn't been a problem for Harry Reid, a rare (public) LDS Democrat. But on the right, its an issue on the national stage where there are a lot of simmering conflicts that are avoided under the "mutual enemy" embrace. Aside from that, I continue to think Michael Bloomberg will make a big push, possibly in an independent coalition with names like Colin Powell, as the voters seek something "different" in the continuing economic abyss of jobless recovery and more evidence of an historic heist of our middle class wealth by some very smart mathafarkers.
