Conservatives don't believe in evolution? That may be true in some instances, but as a generalization exists mostly in your trance.

Do you suppose Darwinian principles might apply in the study of economics and development? Could superior practices be selected and further developed through competitive experience? Might the forces unleashed in free economies be the primary driver in bringing even the poorest to a better state?

Compassion and the exercise of moral intuition are a desirable leavening to capitalism. Exercised through the types we tend to elect something good becomes an evil.
