I hold a rather curmudgeonly view as regards human rights. I am only interested in effectively inalienable human rights, and the only one that passes that level of scrutiny is the right to (eventually) die.
As for "lesser" rights, those that require consensus and cooperation by society, I am negatively awestruck by how fragile they are.
The supposed right to abortion ... if society (be that a devout family or a meme-rotten government) chooses to infringe it, does the right remain? What use to anybody is a right that is an abstraction?
