"But creating dependency for the poor while grabbing wealth from those who earn it isn't being compassionate or charitable. You can only be charitable with your own money. That is such a bullshit rationalization to be greedy and miserly and to not do your share to contribute to society. That is the philosophy of the hunter who makes a kill in a hard winter and does not want to share it with the tribe who protects him and who is him! I meet guys like that in business every day. I make my living negotiating deals. I know that philosophy well. I taught my children that to be kind is the highest state of being one can attain. It takes strength and courage to be kind with so many who don't care in the world. There are people who need help through no fault of their own. I have always stood with those who would help them.
