Liquid metal heat pipes

* Dramatically higher rates of heat transfer enable high energy output from very small gasification plants
* Smaller plant sizes translate to lower capital costs and increased siting flexibility (close to feedstock or energy user, easier permitting)
* Very high overall process efficiency: the heating value of the biomass feedstock is captured in the syngas, and the remaining energy is available as heat

I do not have a 170 IQ (maybe I do - who knows but I doubt it!) but I can appreciate THIS manner of heat exchange. The more I see and learn about this biz - energy from waste using heat - the more I have come to see that the heat exchanger is CRITICAL! And therein hangs the tale of who will succeed and who will not - catalysts are important but NOT the main factor, IMO.
