<<I do. It's quite simple, really. Quit throwing spitballs and start listening actively. Take in interest in what the other side has to say. Try to rise above prejudice and hostility and show a little respect. It's an enlightening experience.
Let me explain something. I am an old man. I have no interest in throwing spit balls at anyone. Nor am I intersted in any ego games. Too old for ego. But I do know my subject matter.
I not only have studied politics and history and psychology, intently, for 40 years I was integrally involved in politics for 30 years including a run for the state legislature.
I am a normal man with three qualities (according to my ex's-lol). I am kind, I understand the necessity for learning and I am pretty good at reading people.
I look at the Republician's and all I see are criminals, nutjobs and low information voters.
All of the intelligence, humanity and sanity seems to me to be on the left. That is why I am a very liberal yellow dog democrat and for no other reason.
I believe the good one does in their life is how one establishes their validity as a human being.
I look at guys like Nixon, Tom De lay, Bush, Rove, Cheney Boehner and Macconnell and pretty much the entire Republican senate and all I see are SOB's. I would not buy a used, or new, car from any of them. They are insensitive at best and have criminal minds at worst, IMO.
And it is just my opinion, but I arrived at it over 40 years of study. |
