I'm not sure who disappoints me more, Obama for failing to confront the Republicans on behalf of the American people, or the American people for blaming the Democrats for the economic mess wrought and perpetuated by Bush and the Republicans. The Republicans who should be the scoundrels held accountable for this mess instead were rewarded in the last election because Obama did not use the bully pulpit against them, instead allowing them to bully him and his party. The American voters, speaking in November, just enabled the Republicans to pull off this heist for the benefit of their wealthy patrons and those same foolish voters are going to be the ones to pay in the form of service cuts not so far down the road. Madness.
