I wonder what the chances are that Assange is innocent of all rape charges and has been stitched up by the security forces? I conservatively estimate maybe 99% chance he is innocent of those particular charges.

Not sure how accurate the context is with many of the leaks published. Some of it rings like a lie and info has been planted. Whatever, I agree that we are all being spied upon excessively. I think the war on terror is just a method to keep the populous under control. I would be interested where the terror guys are really being funded from.

Watched US Defence secretary Robert Gates on the news commenting on the arrest.

Gates said: "I hadn't heard that, but that sounds like good news to me."

He can look smug about it I guess, but I think he just lost the Afghanistan war cause a lot of European support, and it looks to be just another war being lost by the West as time moves on.
