As I indicated earlier, I joined the crusade for the betterment of humanity (aka SanDisk) only recently. Thus, I don't know what it felt like to go up four-fold and then be cut in half. Logically, you must have felt you went up two-fold. But then, it might have felt differently if you were there.

I personally think that it is not moving because the general public is dumb. Which implies that we are smart, except for the fact that we are losing our money.

Seriously, I don't think general public can grasp the potential of this device because it is new. Just as the original Queen Elizabeth asked Dr. Maxwell (of Maxwell's equation fame) on his demonstration of then-newly-found electricity:

"But what is this good for?"

In addition, take a look at this.

Blood all over the screen. The wise fund manager would know that SanDisk has nothing to do with these Asians but he knows that general public will sell anyway, so he says "What the hell, just sell and buy it at a lower price."

Meanwhile, we just take out CompactFlash from our inner pocket, breathe in so the world will look groovy again. But we do not inhale. Just in case we run for the presidency someday.
