Although I'm an engineer, and would love to fire all PR, marketing,
sales, etc. folks (the Dilbert mentality), I'd have to agree
with the PR folk. Would you rather they lied and created a false
sense of hope? To do so would be to go in the face of every analyst
in the business. And what would their credibility be then? Have
you thought that perhaps the PR spin might hide even worse times?
I'm in for the long term, just like AMAT. If you're truly long on
AMAT, as you stated, then you should be happy that the PR guys are
helping keep the stock down so you have a bigger buying window.
When the stock does shoot up (and many believe that when it goes
up, it will be on a rocket), I'll be glad for the big buying window.
