Lighting Science Group To Manufacture its 1 Millionth U.S. LED Bulb - A
Revolutionary New Low Cost/High Output 60 Watt Replacement

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla., Dec. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- What: Lighting
Science Group (LSCG), a leading American maker of LED lighting, will hold an
event where the company will manufacture their 1 millionth U.S. LED bulb--a new
omnidirectional, ultra-efficient LED bulb that replaces America's most used
energy hog--the 60 watt incandesent bulb. Lighting Science Group's omidirectional
A19 60 watt equivalent LED bulb will be 80% more efficient than the incandescent
bulb that it replaces, have the highest lumen (light) output of any other LED
bulb on the market, and be priced below competitive LED products. The 60 watt
incandescent bulb is the most used bulb in America; over 425 million are sold in
the U.S. every year--making up some 50% of the bulb sales market. Lighting
Science Group's LED bulb will be a low cost, long-lasting and ultra-efficient
replacement for those bulbs--saving Americans money and increasing energy
independence.
When: Monday, December 13, 2010--10:00 a.m.
Where: Lighting Science Group Innovation Center, 1227 S. Patrick Drive, Satellite Beach, Florida

Sen. Bill Nelson (invited)

Background: For years, high-output and low-cost LED lighting products have been
just out of reach from a cost basis, but Lighting Science Group has
revolutionized the science of light in America to produce lighting products that
deliver on the promise of LED technology. From the International Space Station to
the Times Square Ball to other projects in major cities across the world and now
in homes, the company's LED solutions are increasing energy independence and
saving consumers, businesses and governments significant amounts of money. In
fact, Lighting Science Group is the chosen partner of NASA to develop
cutting-edge lighting technologies for use in space, and recently received the
industry's first ENERGY STAR label for an LED light bulb.

Major lighting retailers like The Home Depot, lighting companies, retail chains,
restaurants, cities like Salt Lake City, UT and Lewiston, ME, military
installations such as Naval Base Ventura County, CA, and world renowned
architects and builders have all chosen Lighting Science Group to be their
lighting technology provider. Why? The company's products produce a better
combination of more light at a lower price--with longer life and better lighting
quality--than other LED products on the market.
