update Community Health Offered to Buy Tenet Healthcare, Was Rejected By Jeran Wittenstein Dec. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Community Health Systems Inc. said it offered to buy Tenet Healthcare Corp. for $6 a share in cash and stock and was rejected. Community Health offered $5 a share in cash and $1 a share in stock on Nov. 12 and was rejected by Tenet on Dec. 6.
