Being attracted to things you don't understand is healthy.
However, it isn't the norm.
Most are, in fact, afraid of what they don't understand and there are plenty of witches who died too early as a testament to that very fear of the unknown.

Seeing a schizophrenic talking to himself is unnerving for most. The thing is, how can you be sure who he's talking to?
There is a 40 day program available to schizophrenics which completely, I'll say, corrects them as opposed to druging them but in certain societies they are revered for their ability to transcend between, we'll say, worlds.
In fact, they are the only especially gifted members.

Regarding intellectual curiosity I found this:
