No, he didn't. The man was a pragmatist. You don't actually face death, and then to meet it, without knowing who will stand with you.

Go ahead and be proud of the fact you set women and people of color and the poor back for 30 years all for your white male pride. Be proud. But you won't do it again. The young white men today are nothing like their sexist grandfathers. They know balls have a phyiscal purpose and don't need to rub them and measure them and pride themselves on "topping" the other.

I'm imagining a group of hippies going to India and informing them that Ghandi and the Indians didn't oust the British... the hippies did it.
