I imagine artists are not republicans either. Both science and art require creativity, and breaking away from orthodoxy- neither of those things are really characteristics I associate with republicans. I'm sure republicans think they are creative, and artistic, and Fox news has certainly shown us they can be creative and artistic with news reporting, but as for new discoveries and great new art? Probably not.
