It's always seemed to me that most doctors vote R. They, of course, have to study all the relevant science courses. Biology is much more than evolution anyway. One can love biology, anatomy, and chemistry and more or less ignore evolutionary theory, don't you think? Or maybe I should say, set it aside in one's thinking. In other words, one could make a full scale pursuit of scientific training in some field without having a neat and tidy opinion on evolution.

I also think a fascination with the world of science begins in grade school, way before a person is facing complex decisions re evolution/religion/politics. A certain percentage of kids are just wired to love learning about it, the rest are either agnostic or downright turned off by the study.
