You are not alone, but it does take some getting used to.

A bit back I got into it with some gay men (note they are men and white) who seemed only concerned Obama had not ended DADT (that is a law, it takes the congress, unless you want a King). I lived through 1994... I understand all too well the backlash. I am not willing for that backlash to engulf, as it did before, the poor. I am comfortable in my living situation. sure DADT ending would be cool and matter. sure marriage, I guess, matters. but is it worth a backlash that ingulfs the poor? No. No no no. Yes, Obama is, imo, taking all into account. And he is taking the poor into account in a way that the "left" who is yelling is not. No, what the "left" is yelling about has nothing to do with helping people rise up... and rise up is not "give them a check".

it all makes me very angry, T. If it seemed I was angry at you, I am sorry. Truly. though... do drop the balls talk. :) please. :) :) :) (triple smile)
