A bit of a mystery, eh? Correct me if I'm wrong:

All indications are that this culture had no capacity to communicate through any form of writing and were so primitive they used human sacrifice to appease their "Gods". Except for a rather precise knowledge of astronomy and a (seemingly) remarkable ability to transport heavy objects--we would have no "mystery" to examine--or would we?

Were there other abilities or achievements implied by this structure that would suggest anything beyond what archeologists expect in primitive cultures? I ask that not to suggest otherwise, but because I figure you've probably studied this extensively, and I have not?
